Watford Celebration 2019:

£300 for HOPE UK.

Watford Celebration's raffle managed to raise £300 for the charity 'HOPE UK'. Many thanks for your support and for the generous donation of Mr Hui, a talented Chinese artist present on the day. HOPE UK, a national drug education charity, believes in helping young people to make drug-free choices. Since 2010, volunteers at HOPE UK Watford have carried out drug prevention work in various places around Watford: schools, colleges, youth clubs and more. We wish them well in their most valuable outreach work.

Among one of the best!

The Watford Celebration team would like to thank you for coming to the Watford Celebration 2019 and for your wonderful contributions! We had another very successful event some said that it was among one of the best. We were also honoured by the presence of Hertfordshire High Sheriff Mrs Sarah Beazley and Deputy Lieutenant David Cansdale and his wife Judith. Many thanks to all our volunteers who gave their time and help on the day! RAFFLE in aid of HOPE UK.

This year the Watford Celebration team has decided to offer the money raised through the raffle to HOPE UK, a drug education charity – helping equip young people to make drug-free choices. Since 2010, volunteers at HOPE UK Watford have carried out drug prevention work in various schools, colleges, libraries, youth clubs, churches, and other places around Watford. They firmly believe that 'prevention is better than cure'. Celebration on the 6th May

After finding out that Ramadan would not be over on Bank Holiday Monday 27th May, the Celebration team with the advice of our Muslim friends decided to forward Watford Celebration 2019 to the first Bank Holiday Monday 6th May. We also wanted to be sure that the Chinese and other communities would be available at that time.
