Watford Celebration on YouTube

Watford Celebration has a channel on YouTube. Please click: and you can view Watford Celebration's main performances and the celebration of Her Majesty 90th birthday! Many thanks to Tony Bain who kindly offered to film the event and Francoise Murphy who edited it and put it on YouTube.

A memorable Watford Celebration!

Watford Celebration 2016 was a great success! There was a wonderful community spirit. All the communities came together offering their food, their dances, their songs, their thoughts and their hearts to each other. Well done everyone! There were no incident only smiles on people’s faces. A glorious day for Watford with the blessings of Her Majesty the Queen! and in the presence of the following honoured guests: the Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordshire Stuart Nagler JP, Jagtar Singh Deputy of the Watford Borough Council, Cllr Karen Collett representing Watford Elected Mayor and Mr and Mrs Tyrwhitt Freemen of the Borough of Watford. Thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who worked so hard to make this event possible.

Queen's response to our invitation

We were most delighted to receive a response to our letter inviting Her Majesty the Queen to celebrate Her ninetieth Birthday at Watford Celebration. Unfortunately Her Majesty will not be able to be with us but She sent a wonderful message through Her Chief Clerk Christopher Sandamas.

Thanks to Herts Crimestoppers

Many thanks to Herts Crimestoppers for their generous donations of biscuits for Watford Celebration 2016. Great variety of delicious mcvities buiscuits. We will all enjoy them! Thanks.

Our banners are up!

Today 3 firemen from Green Watch came to hang our banners at the MCCC and the Church. The Watford Celebration Team would like to thank them for their help and kindness. We will see them again on May the 30. They will bring their Fire engine!
